The Central Board of Secondary Education's online portal has been operating without interruptions for more than 72 hours, bringing relief to thousands of students and parents across India who faced technical difficulties in recent days. IIT Madras Director V Kamakoti confirmed that a specialised technical team from the institute is currently examining the root causes of the earlier system glitches.
The portal disruptions had caused significant anxiety among students, particularly those in Bihar and other states where internet connectivity challenges often compound technical issues. Many students were unable to access admission-related services and examination results during the outage period, prompting concerns from educational stakeholders nationwide.
Professor Kamakoti stated that the investigation aims to identify vulnerabilities in the system architecture and implement measures to prevent future occurrences. The IIT team is conducting a comprehensive technical audit of the portal's infrastructure, including server capacity, security protocols, and load management systems.
For Bihar students who frequently rely on CBSE portals for board examinations, admissions, and result verification, the restoration of services marks a return to normalcy. Educational experts emphasise the importance of robust digital infrastructure, especially as India's education system increasingly depends on online platforms for critical administrative functions.
